Chop Tha Chaser : The Independent Icon

            "Chop Tha Chaser"

Chop Tha Chaser was born in Augusta, Ga. He was raised in small towns through out South Eastern Georgia and other parts of Florida. While attending Elementry School in Screven County he came up with the school's dare program theme song, thats when he realized he had a way with putting words together and making them ryhme. As he got older he continued to write poems and freestyle over other artists instrumentals. He soon moved to the city Statesboro, Ga. Which he now considers his hometown because that's where he stayed the longest. He began hanging out at the Luetta More Park, better known as "Blitch Street".. He then began playing basketball and picking up on
alot of things that alot of his older peers where doing. So he began writing about his everyday struggles and everything that was going on around him. Chop was not the average teenage kid in high school. He had to grow up a little quicker than his peers and trying to balance school and the things going on at home took a toll on him. So he started keeping to himself and began thinking of ways to channel his pain. He started taking his music serious and started writing music to vent and ease his pain. In 2005, he began recording his first mixtape entitled, "Block on Fire" Recognition Vol.1. He pass it around to friends, family and a couple of his classmates, but still no one took it serious because of the quality and lack of promotion. But in a couple of
years, he dropped "Real N Reckless :Recogniton vol.2. He got a couple of units pressed up and pass them out in school and in the streets. He began to build a local buzz and people began to become interested in the young lyricist. Then a year after the Recognition Vol .2, Chop Tha Chaser dropped another one entitled "Strictly4ThaHood", which had a greater response than the first two of course and was even displayed on iTunes and shortly after the third installment to his recogniction series entitled "Recognition Vol.3: Against All Odds" which is considered a classic in his hood, was also added.

Chop Tha Chaser has recently released his latest Mixtape entitled "WARRIOR MUSIK" HOSTED BY DJ ASAP MONEY GANG AND DJ LOGIKAL
which is available on DatPiff.com, LiveMixtapes, Coast 2 Coast and other sites. Independently grinding the young artist is still pushing his career and running an independent label called STACKHEAD ENTERTAINMENT along with Co-Owner Jman, who is also an artist on the label. Stay tuned for new music, videos and updates.
