Young Skeezo : Inspiration To Everyone

Young Skeezo was born on November 28th 1990 in San Jose California, He then moved to the Northwest when he  was around the age of three. His parents separated and him and his brother went with his mom to a couple of different shelters. He was in fifth grade at the time and at one of these shelters him and his brother had gotten into trouble so his mom got stressed and left them in Longview, WA so he was going trough a lot at the time. (Don't get me wrong, I don't hate my mom or hold anything against her, she is a amazing lady, I love her and always will) says Young Skeezo. For him and his brother it was their first day in the town & they didn't even know where a store was or where to go so they sat there for about four hours. Then the police came along with CPS and they separated Young Skeezo and his brother and placed the two into different Foster homes. Young Skeezo moved around a bunch, it seemed like ever other week probably at least 20 different homes. That continued for about four years. To speed things up Young Skeezo started really getting serious about his music. When he was 16 living in Portland, (which He moved to at 14) he quickly fell in love with his city and the art of music (which he started doing music in 8th grade). By the time he was 19 he had been to the west coast Hip Hop Awards. He has opened up for artist such Mack 10, Glasses   Malone, Rapping4Tay, Lazie Bone and Bizzy Bone & The Outlaws (2pacs old rap group) Young Skeezo had 2 songs  done with Rapping4Tay (one yet to be finished) also his manger at the time, "Pitbull" had ties with Black Wall Street. Young Skeezo was able to get some beats from Ducenberb (The Game's best friend) Also track with Tre Little  (Royce day 5'9 old rap partner of almost a decade) well just as he thought things were going to good with his music he ended up homeless. So where did he go?? Of course downtown . And that's where his life went downhill. He started smoking dope. Then selling it to support his habit and realized he was actually good at it. So he spent all his time hustling. Young Skeezo became addicted to the lifestyle as well. It wasn't to long before he started shooting dope that's when he lost his mind. He was in and out of jail so much. He was so crazy he couldn't get his mind off the drug and the power he felt by dealing it. The first thing Young Skeezo would do when he left jail was go find a shot and re up. He's not gonna glorify the selling cause that's not the message he wants, instead he's gonna concentrate on how he was lost. Young Skeezo was 120 lbs & running around arms all bruised from hitting. Face picked. Clothes dirty, hands dirty, sleeping in a doorway and when I say sleeping I don't mean he planned to sleep he just simply stopped moving and fell out. "I remember a couple times the police wakening me out cause I'm laying sprawled out on the sidewalk or the street and they said they received a call that someone was dead and their body was jut laying in the streets. I wasn't dead physically. I just went into a sycosis and walked till my body gave out." Says Youg Skeezo. He would wake up in such a fog. Not remembering how he got there. It was nuts. He would get all paranoid & not trust anyone. Young Skeezo would walk and walk till he passed out. Sometimes he would wake up still walking. He would sleep walk trough downtown. Literately doing laps. He was so stuck on this drugs he didn't care to about his music or care to contact his family unless he was in jail. When he was in his active addiction he would of been happy living that life for ever. Eating at homeless feeds and passing out under bridges. That all changed on Oct 24 when the sheriffs pulled him over coming out of his apartment and busted him with multiple bags. He was screwed, if convicted this was his second delivery which meant Prison. In jail Young Skeezo had lost his apartment, bbut recovered his life. His girlfriend Sara stuck by his side, luckily the cops were a little on the shady side and did everything that day wrong. So he beat the case..now that he looks back at it all, Young Skeezo feels he is  blessed for that day and the events that went down. Now a days He is sober and have been since 9/29/2013 and he plans on staying that way. His life has drastically improved so now he wants to pass the message of hope and his experience through his music by letting people know there is a way out. He's the underdog, He is the one society didn't accept because of his actions. Now Young Skeezo lives to give back to his community that he have taken so much away from. And he states that he "wont rest till he make a change in the streets he ran and help the people that are in the situation he was."

Getting Rid of Stage Fright 101

1. Your audience wants an EXPERIENCE!!! This is not just about you doing your "thang" on stage ", singing and hitting high and low notes….Fans want to feel the musical story and go somewhere with you. If you concentrate more about the experience than soloing out the song, your voice or your stage presence, you will find that each performance becomes an experience for you too.

2. Allow yourself to make mistakes. If you are worried about not singing or playing your best, you are limiting yourself & if you don’t fall while “skiing”, you are way too controlled and will never improve. If you fall you have probably tried something outside of your control realm. Many times if you deliver a perfect performance, it is also VERY boring. When you are making an experience for someone, you take chances, which can bring mistakes. A few mistakes are MUCH MORE important, than a bland controlled performance. Leave that at your local Karaoke bar.

3. Exercise right before you go out on stage ALWAYS. It releases lots and lots of anxiety and opens up your chest. 20 wall pushups or floor push ups do wonders. A mile or two run earlier in the day is the NUMBER 1 way my rocker singers get ready for a performance…And all this time you thought it was drugs. :0

4. Visualization. As much as your visualize negativity, what could go wrong, and what may happen, and is that one note going to come out, etc., you have the same brain power to visualize a great performance, and an experience. We are in control of our brains, but it takes work. One of the best tips that “Using Your Brain for a Change” offers is when you are in a tough spot and become nervous, play circus music in your head like you hear on a carousel or when you walk into the 3 rings of a circus. It sorta becomes funny and voile! your attitude CAN change. Some of you are playing funeral music.

5. If you aren’t prepared, you’re doomed. That’s it. You should be nervous if you have not prepared sufficiently for anything in life….tests, speaking, presentations you are planning a failure and probably deserve having one so that the pain brings change!!! Practice over and over but practice right because practice makes permanent. And DON’T change your songs at the last minute because you begin to second guess. NOOOOOOOO! Your muscles also have memory and changing songs that you have been practicing can set you up for failure.

Those who could not get over stage fright are most likely not going to make it. That should tick you off enough to say, “Stage Fright, you are NOT going to steal my career!!!! I’ll show you!” REMEMBER YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK!

Roz Royce : The Man Behind The Dream

Royce Vanduyne, a.k.a. “Roz Royce”, was born in Texas and spent most of his adult life in Oklahoma City, Ok.  He has been writing and freestyling with music since his elementary days.  In 2004 he was committed to his music, he has made two mixed tapes. On July 2, 2013 his first MixTape was released, (WNS) he will release his Great Depression Mix Tape on November 15, 2014. The Great Depression is a story you can literally visualize everything Roz Royce is rapping about.  He is touching on everything going on in his life over the past years.  In his music he raps about his WIC (weird individual crew), who is a pack of people who are not afraid to be different or care what individuals have to say about them, because they rule; as Roz Royce would say. His music is listed on sites like You Tube, Soundcloud/roycevanduyne,and  Reverbnation,  He is an independent artist who has his own original style of music.  He is currently working on releasing his first ever solo album.  He is working under new management of his mother Tammy Johnson. Together, they are pushing a single that will soon be taking over called "Chasing The Dream" off "The Great Depression" Mix Tape.

I was able to get a interview on Roz Royce, let's dig a little deeper into the up coming of the man behind "The Dream" because that isn't the only thing he is chasing.. Stardom falls right in line along with that. During the interview Royce was asked the following questions:

How did you get your name?
I had been through so much coming up trouble bound and now I feel I've risen from all of that and that is why it is ROZ ROYCE.

How do you separate your self from other artists?
Well most of the music you hear these days consist of flossing the jewelry, the money, the women, I'd rather speak on things they are scared to. I'm bringing Hip Hop back, something everyone's been waiting for, straight realness, nothing fictional.

Did anyone influence your style?
Oh man..  haa so many, Eminem, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Notorious B.I.G, Action Bronson and Ghost Face Killa.

What are your thoughts on the current state of the game?
Excuse my language but I think it's f***** up, It's too trendy. Everyone sounds the same, there's no originality, there's no Hip Hop feel at all, and that's why I wanna bring it back. Everyone even dresses the same, it's crazy.

Describe your music in four words...
Real, Influential, Original and Motivational.

When did you know you wanted to do music?
I knew in the fourth grade, I actually used to do show cases in front of my class and that's also when I started song writing.

What type of music is in your phone?
Jay Z, Kanye West, Action Bronson and Party Next Door.

What's next for you?
I just dropped the great depression, as of now I'm working on a LP called "The Coldest Winter" dropping on December 25th, 2014.

Words to live by?
Don't ever let anyone knock your grind, be different, stand out and live out your dreams to the max.

Review:
Listenining to Roz Royce I honestly see nothing but potential. I hear someone who has become one of my favorite artists. Royce has a very catchy feel to his music, great quality, fire lyrics and is really doing his thing in the music business. It's a lot of good artists that don't get enough recognition out here, Royce is one of the ones who will grab attention, he certainly has mine.
